Don’t Put Your Money on Kenny Winning ‘Top Chef’

Kenny_FullEater reported yesterday that Top Chef contestant (and enemy to Angelo) Kenny Gilbert was named executive chef at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Eater views this as a sign of the apocalypse — or at least a sign that Kenny doesn't win Top Chef D.C.

In the sort of overheated (and practically illiterate) prose that gives blog writing a bad name, Eater blows this booger out of its nose:

Yes, today, ladies and gentlemen, named [RE-IT'S KENNY!-DACTED] Executive Chef at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Florida and that means, most likely, [RE-OMG, IT'S KENNY!!!-DACTED] didn't win $125,000 from the makers of Dial Nutriskin because if he did, would [RE-KENNY-MOTHERFUCKIN-GILBERT!-DACTED] really take a gig at a country club? And since [RE-CAN YOU HEAR ME? IT'S KENNY! DAMMIT!-DACTED] didn't win, it's almost certain that [ANGELO SO-REDACTED-SA] did.

Eater may be right about what this announcement means for Kenny's future on Top Chef, but best I can tell, the National Resort & Spa is not your average, cracker-in-the-woods country club.

Y&H Nation, what are your thoughts? Does this announcement (and my re-posting of it) ruin your Top Chef D.C. viewing now? Could Kenny still be victorious? Would Angelo ever cook at a resort and spa?

Kenny isn't that great. He's a s*it talker and will be out of the running when top 6 happens. IF he gets through to the finale good for him I guess. But the stuff I've so far seen him create is not all that great. Tamesha Warren, Sous Chef of The Oval Room is a fire cracker! Ate at the Oval Room last week and it was FANTASTIC! Try the 45 minute slow poached egg... Mmmmm!

Mr. Carman, the beauty of Top Chef is not that the mighty fall, but how they fall. We're in for the season, baby!
