SAVOR Advance Tickets On Sale February 17
You may be preoccupied digging out your car and fumbling your way to work for the first time in a week, but it pays to look ahead. The Brewer's Association announced today that advance tickets for its annual SAVOR event, to be held at the National Building Museum on June 5, will go on sale on Wednesday, February 17, at noon.
The pre-sale offer extends to all previous SAVOR attendees, members of the Brewer's Association, and members of the American Homebrewers Association. If this describes you, you should receive an email on February 17 directing you to a special website, where you'll be able to plunk down your $95 to reserve a spot at this year's event. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until February 24, when regular tickets will go on sale.
There is dissension about whether or not SAVOR is worth the pomp and circumstance that surrounds it each year. Some complain about the high ticket price and dress code, while others welcome it as a more up-scale opportunity to attend a beer-focused event than the usual outdoor or bar-based festival. We shared our thoughts about this year's brewery list, but think most people will want to check out the educational salon schedule and beer and food menus before deciding to go. These details are not yet posted, but we have a suspicion that advance ticket sales would go just fine without them. The Lagerheads are two of many beer lovers who find SAVOR more than worthwhile and will be clamoring for tickets when they become available.
