The Makeover of the Union Station Food Court Has Begun
It's been more than two years since Wingmaster's Grill, the beloved chicken outlet on the lower-level food court at Union Station, was run out on a rail. At the time, a number of vendors feared they would eventually suffer a similar fate, as management company Jones Lang LaSalle looked to replace the independent food-court operators with deep-pocketed chains.
It would seem their fears have started to come true. This weekend, Y&H walked around the food court and noticed that a Subway had just opened three weeks ago — and that a Taco Bell is coming soon (picture after the jump).
Y&H hopes Jones Lang LaSalle will return his phone calls this time around and maybe even cop to its apparent plan: to remake the Union Station food court to look like every other mall food court in America.
