Great write up. I'm certain the flour tortilla point is a personal preference and nothing to do with DT's food. I think I've had about everything on the menu there and it's all good. I hate chorizo but I love district tacos chorizo. Apart from being the best tacos I've ever had Osiris is one of the nicest dudes you'll meet. I am proud to say that since district taco has setup at rosslyn I haven't had a Baja fresh or chipotle meal.

Osiris makes his own guac, his own salsas, his own pico and everything is fresh. He even adds a grill sometimes outside the stand for some Carne/pollo asada which smells and tastes amazing. Pretty much, for 6 bucks to grab two lunch tacos and a drink or two breakfast tacos and a coffee, there isn't any other place to go.

Seriously and absolutely the best chicken fajitas I've ever had, and the best carnitas (pork) on the east coast. I've traveled to California and spent a lot of time eating authentic Mexican cuisine - this could probably qualify for a throwdown with any Mexican grandma (bring it on!).

P.S. I have only had their lunch food.

Zeus himself couldn't make a better breakfast taco. Mainly because he's Greek and would probably prefer a breakfast gyro.

District Taco is a nice break from the ubiquitous chain food found in Rosslyn. I really hope they expand - I'm sure it would be an instant hit on the Hill.

Thanks for the heads up. I stopped by this morning after reading your post and it was great. I didn't catch the part at the bottom about asking for corn tortillas so I ended up with flour, but I also don't mind. These were actually some of the best flour tortillas I have had. Can't wait to go back and try some of the lunch tacos.

Wow - thanks, Tim! Sounds delicious! There's a place near my parents' house in San Antone that sells three HUGE b'fast tacos for about $4. Insanely good and cheap.

I'm OK w/ flour for the breakfast taco -- in fact, I rarely see them served otherwise in Texas. But maybe this guys' flour tortillas don't hold up...
