Sierra Nevada does grow their own barley. It was planted in 2008. Check out their first edition of estate brewers ale.

Sierra Nevada does not grow "estate barley" at the brewery in Chico. It grows estate *hops*. I know you're quoting the L&L website, but this isn't really barley country...
