The Mount Rainier Pizzeria with the Unfortunate Name
During my brief walking tour of Mount Rainier this morning, I noticed that a new pizzeria/kabob/sandwich shop is slated to open on 34th Street (although by the look of things, it doesn't appear the place will debut any time soon). At first glance I thought the joint's name was a poorly spelled homage (read: ripoff) to zpizza. Then I inspected the permits taped to the window. The restaurant's name actually is Zz Pizza.
As in....Zzzzzzzzz.

The ZZ Pizza is open and thriving now. Best selections: Baba Ganoush, Veggie Pilaf, Hummus and Pita, Tabbouleh, Falafel, Eggplant Salad, and Veggie Biryani. And, of course, the 7 Veggie Pizza, "light cheese".
