Just another example of D.C. beauracracy doing everything it can to stifle small business in the District...I'm constantly amazed that people still want to open up businesses in the city given all the ridiculous hoops and delays DC imposes on people.

A good solution to this would be not writing about opening dates - bar/restaurant owners are the most optimistic people in the world when it comes to this. Publishing dates, even when given by the owner, isn't helpful when those dates come and go a half dozen times.

Simon Cowell, I presume? Odds are it's going to be a whole lot better than what's currently available in that space (nothing) and it's a pretty safe bet that it will even be better than what used to be there (Phish Tea Cafe). Considering how many storefronts on H Street aren't even in the process of being developed, I'm not about to criticize one so close to opening until I've had a chance to try it.

I'd put odds on the H Street CC not living up to the hype. Because it sure has been a lot of hype, to date.
