Tim, I'm glad you found this noteworthy. These "cost-cutting measures" at the expense of ten years of community-building around a topic of great importance to all humans, namely food, really shows ya where the corporate heart is... (what heart?) Prevailing attitude: when the going gets rough, discard those who put you on the top. Kim managed to bring important topics about food and nutrition to the front in a lively forum that educated us on issues ranging from sustainability to tastiness and technique, as she routinely shared insights she'd grasp along the way; why it's best to buy local from small farmers, why what's in or on our food makes a difference, where does the fish and foul come from -- all awhile honoring diverse eaters... vegan, vegetarian, carnivores and everyone in between. With her terrific sense of humor, research-oriented writing and a substantial following, she will land on her feet, no question. Will the Post? Jury's out on that question. But - you know what they say... cause 'n' effect is a mother.
