[...] The first thing I wanted to know from Bryan Voltaggio is why. Why did the former executive chef at Charlie Palmer Steak and the current chef/owner of his own restaurant, VOLT, in Frederick feel the need to appear on Season 6 of Top Chef? He, of all people, doesn’t seem to need the career bump that comes from allowing Bravo to manipulate the crap out of a chef’s public image. I mean, he’s not Carla Hall.
[...] Carla Hall, the almost-but-not-quite Top Chef, could not share her fellow judge’s enthusiasm. “It’s all really technically good,” Hall said, but it was missing a certain warmth. Besides, Hall added, the chef didn’t follow directions. He made extra dishes beyond the required three: a dessert, a po’ boy, and an entree that included two of Zora Neale Hurston’s favorite ingredients, shrimp and okra. [...]

Absolutely! She won us over and it was heartbreaking to see her give in to a former "looser". Otherwise she would have mopped the floor with those two. This was the weakest season so far, a disappointment that so many mediocre cookers (won't call them chefs!) skated through with such boring dishes. I'd like to see the integrity brought back to the show and the best chef actually win the thing. If I just want to watch clowning in the kitchen, I can turn on Hells Kitchen!!!

Love Carla and even though she had some issues in the final show, the fans on Bravo.com voted her as their Top Chef.

Unfortunately, she made the mistake of allowing the helper in her kitchen to influence her food choices and it contributed to her loss. If Carla had cooked the food her way, I have no doubt that she would have won...i could tell the judges wanted to give it to her and were disappointed that she had a slip in judgement during the most important meal that would determine the winner.

But we still love you Carla...You are our Top Chef!!!
