60 Minutes: The Secret to a Long, Healthy Life Is Found in Red Wine
Scientists, according to Morley Safer, have discovered that “resveratrol,” found naturally in the skin of red grapes, can slow down the aging process in mice. Pharmaceutical companies hope to one day market a resveratrol pill that will do the same for humans. You could, of course, try to extend your life by drinking more red wine, but the experiment might create its own problems. You’d have to drink about 1,000 bottles a day for the resveratrol to have the desired effect.

Mr. Shafer, I’d like to know why your questioning was not comparative. For instance, if the drug being promoted could control the aging process, can humans, through discovering certain powers within themselves, accomplish the same?
I’m challenging you with this question because I have a video on my website and on youtube, in which I CHALLENGE Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods. I’m 62 years old, but they’ll never do what I do for the next ten years of their lives.
I hope you will have a counter argument with your reporting on healthcare. Taking drugs will not minimize health costs. Why can’t humans return to their own inherent powers to control their own lives?
