Young & Hungry: The dish on District food

Would You Wait Five Hours for a Turkey?

Today’s story in the Washington Post about the annual Harvest Feast, in which Redskins players hand out food and toys to needy families, was depressing enough. But some folks apparently waited up to five hours for the freebies, a period of time that presumably doesn’t include travel time.

I don’t know. I’ve been hard up many times in my life, but no matter how hard it got, I don’t think I’d ever wait five hours for a turkey, particularly at an event that promotes Dan Snyder as some patron saint of the downtrodden.
