The Sexist

Beck Too Sexist To Be Palin’s VP

Via Feministing: Glenn Beck has slapped down rumors of a Palin-Beck presidential ticket in 2012. Why? Because Glenn Beck would be an even worse Vice Presidential pick than Sarah Palin was is really sexist!

"I was just thinking, what, I'm going to take a back seat to a chick?" Beck said, before resorting to the most clichéd remark ever:

I'm just saying, Beck-Palin, I'll consider. But Palin-Beck—can you imagine what an administration with the two of us would be like? She'd be yapping or something, I'd say, 'I'm sorry, why am I hearing your voice? I'm not in the kitchen.'

So . . . Glenn Beck is too sexist to consider being vice president. Everybody wins!

They're both too stupid for words. It does however sadden me that these views of women are still so prevalent. When will men get over their insecurities?

If you listen to the actual clip, they are laughing the entire time, and speaking in obviously sarcastic voices. Glenn frequently says things like that to bait and discredit Media Matters and the drones who parrot their press releases without doing any actual research or independent investigation.

It's still rude and demeaning but I guess if you didn't face that BS day in and day out, you wouldn't understand. It gets really old to be female and listen to the constant insults hurled against you every day such as, women can't drive, make me a sandwhich, you need to be subservient, if you speak your mind, you are a bitch, if you stay in an abusive relationship, you are stupid, if you leave an abusive relationship you are dooming your children to life with a horrible single mother... It goes on and on and I'm just really sick of hearing it and really sick of idiots making excuses for their crappy behavior.
