The Sexist: Sex and Gender in the District

Ghostface Killah “On Wife-ing Hoes”

Goddammit:

In the backwaters of Central Florida, they call this “making a woman honest.” Or maybe it’s “making an honest woman.” Either way, Ghostface Killah is upsetting lots of people with this hip-hop interpretation of relationships, titled How To Be A Huge Dick.

What say y’all?

This is disturbing, but let the healing begin. Misogyny being what it is, in a strange way, there is some truth to it, as in how some men (dis)respect women. Yes it is filled with double-standards and would make a horrible PSA, but it maybe therapy that is needed. Dr. Ghostface Killah…nah, but somebody got something from this.

he’s dead on, nothing more disgusting than promiscuous females. anyone who wifes up a known hoe is asking for a divorce. once a woman decides she has no standards she’s no longer marriage, or relationship, material

Dammit. Ghost is one of the only good rappers left on this earth why did he have to say this. All he had to do was say men shouldn’t be out fuckin’ twelve times a year. Redeem yourself gfk! Stop putting it in temples bonehead!

Well with that logic gfunk, if you go out 12 times a year and pound some girls temple you aren’t marrige material either…

Kza, I should have mentioned I ain’t a promiscuous dude (I know, an oxymoron these days). I got standards, I’m picky. a lifestyle that ain’t easy to live in a culture that expects me, as a man, to rack up notches on my belt as if it were a contest. I expect the same outta the women I date. but Ghost is right, it ain’t the same thing. it is a double standard. a woman who is 30 dudes deep ain’t the same thing as a man who is 30 women deep

Not really. They both probably have the same amount of STDs and a high likely hood of cheating in a relationship. Why play into a rediculous double standard.

“Slidin’ into her temple.” Euphimism of the Month.
