Bottom line on the Rape Blogging story: I regret sprinkling posts w/ reference to rape but stand by my original post on Nov. 21 on Why I Hate D.C.
I did not fantasize about rape, per se. The "fantasy jog" actually happened and I wanted to communicate a thought process. A million cognitions hit us all at once and some of them bubble up to the surface of our mind, only to be recognized as absurd or evil ideas. I can see how some people might take this too literally, though, given that as many as one in 25 Americans (psychopaths) suffers from a brain disorder that leaves them w/o empathy.
In the post, I assumed a persona. I used an analogy. I created a construct to allow myself and others to view an event from another perspective. It was art. I am not a rapist; I am an artist.
