The Sexist: Sex and Gender in the District

Quik For Your “Happy Place”

Darrow Montgomery shot this photograph of a Nestle Quick advertisement in the Bloomingdale neighborhood. Montgomery argues that your “happy place” is nothing more than the mental space your brain retreats to when the outside world is getting you down. I hear “happy place,” and I think of something a little more physical, like:

“Don’t touch me in my happy place”

Or:

“I bought this CockBib for your happy place”

Or:

“Why would I pour this chocolate milk on my happy place?”

Which means:

I spend too much time writing this blog.
