I'm dead serious. If the Christian Right (which includes everyone in my extended family except yours truly) is serious about "protecting the sanctity of marriage", then following through with the whole "til death do us part" vow is imperative. After suggesting this amendment in one of her comedy specials, Wanda Sykes said "the divorce rate would go down, but the murder rate would go up."
