Who Had the Priciest Mayoral Campaign?

LL heard a couple of cracks on Tuesday about how much Ward 2 D.C. Councilmember Jack Evans' mayoral campaign had spent on what would turn out to be a fourth-place finish. But the wags might want to add another target to their jokes, because Evans somehow didn't even spend the most more per vote.
Here's how much [...]

5 Building Ideas From the Mayoral Architecture Debate

With Jack Evans and Vince Gray headed to New York and Muriel Bowser and Andy Shallal otherwise occupied, the small candidate crowd at last night's architecture debate must have left the hosts feeling as lonely as sad architect archetype Ted Mosby. Bowser Wins Her Home Ward’s Straw Poll, But Without Enough Votes for an Endorsement

At the end of last night's Ward 4 straw poll at Paul Public Charter School, newly minted Vince Gray campaign political director Steve Glaude walked over to Gray chief of staff Chris Murphy. It looked like Gray would only have enough votes to come in a close second, but in rival Muriel Bowser's home ward, they agreed, that was almost as [...]

Gray Raises $627K in Latest Campaign Report

When the Washington Post reported  that supporters of Vince Gray wanted to raise $1 million by the Jan. 31 disclosure deadline, Gray campaign manager Chuck Thies claimed that the seven-digit figure wasn't an official campaign aim. Realistic goal or not, it's one Gray's campaign couldn't reach, pulling in just more than half that with a still-hefty $627,061.57.
Here's how Gray's and [...]
