Why won't the media organizations who sponsored the poll release the At-Large results as well? What are you all hiding there?

  2. #2

@DCGuy the At-Large race really isn't that important this time around. Gray's campaign situation and the Bowser/Fenty regime still holding strong are the only two "press worthy" things to write about during this election season.

Anita Bonds isn't a strong enough incumbent to generate a buzz for the race, and while Nate Bennett shows promising signs of the future of DC Politics. The present is so messed up that his contributions will not have the impact they should because he is a rookie, and they havent washed out the old EOTR regime yet.

"The Bowser/Fenty regime still holding strong"

Put the pipe down and walk away.

@SE my friend, I don't dabble in those things so I'll sweep that comment under the rug.

The Fenty administration still has major influence, hence the only reason people are taking Bowser serious at this point. They want that "old thing" back and Bowser is the closest thing to DC residents ever seeing Fenty as a Mayor again.

"They want that "old thing" back"

    And WHO might THEY be?

  6. #6

@SE The majority of white active voters in the city along with the media outlets.

Along with any other black folks that were major supporters of Adrian Fenty.

Remember when Fenty & Gray ran against each other.. The Black Vote was split. The Go-Go community, even supported Fenty.

    Tight lip is correct.

I was afraid of this. If Mayor Gray stayed in the race he would not win but empower Muriel. If he had dropped out his votes would go to Jack Evans and at least we would have competence.

Fenty regime was a nightmare for those who were actually engaged. But those who looked in on the outside it was white washed and sometimes guilded poop.

If Gray looses he was being selfish, he may want to fight the good fight and yes the charges might be bull shit but the city just doesn't want to go through that.

"The majority of white active voters in the city"

These voters are here temporarily......it's the black voters who have been here and have toughed it out trough the years, yet these are the same voters that Fenty turned his back on.

You see......................we've had our "White" Mayor.

"The Go-Go community, even supported Fenty".

Apparently so did the majority of the voters. Except their chant was "Go-Go Fenty"........as in get the hell outta here!!!!

Fred Phelp's deserves the respect while he is deceased. He made some good points about deviant sexual behavior according to his beliefs. The only thing I would add is that most white gay people I come into connect with are arrogant, rude and very racist towards people of color.

@SE "Apparently" is wrong, because if Fenty had the majority of votes, he would be Mayor.

Fenty showed love to the Go-Go Community, which Gray has neglected to do so.

The Go-Go community helped split the black vote. All the young people voted Fenty and all the other blacks voted for Gray.

Fenty was a wild guy but what grinded our gears even more was that his approach was more catered to the young blacks and the the established professionals/senior citizens.

Fenty said "if the young black people like me and the white residents like me, the hell with everybody else"

Fenty being a young mayor, he didnt give two shits about what older more established people in the city had to say. The young kid was the King of DC.

@SE Fenty is currently dating Steve Jobs widow..

It's safe to say both he and his bank account won.

  15. #15

Lol......you can't be serious! That's it? Dating a rich white woman?

You see........we've had our White Mayor.

"@SE Fenty is currently dating Steve Jobs widow"..

So you leave a fine ass sister(or did she leave him) for a older, uglier albeit richer white woman?

    I think I know why: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3UzVo5xhsI
