D.C. Chamber of Commerce Backs Gray

Despite uniting the workers of the world last month with a string of labor endorsements, Vince Gray's mayoral re-election campaign apparently hasn't scared off the District's robber barons. The D.C. Chamber of Commerce PAC endorsed Gray today, guaranteeing that some more business money will head in the incumbent's direction.

In a press release, the PAC touted Gray's economic record, including the mayor's One City One Hire initiative, the construction of the O Street Giant in Shaw, and downtown's CityCenterDC. The chamber also endorsed Gray in 2010.

In a release, PAC chairman David Julyan calls Gray "a strong leader for business development." (That's the same David Julyan, incidentally, who received emails in 2010 that appeared to suggest coordination between Gray's campaign and another PAC).The chamber's PAC endorsement could mean more ads for the Gray campaign. In the 2010 race, the PAC reported spending a combined $12,832 on advertising for Gray and former D.C. Council chairman Kwame Brown, along with a maximum $2,000  donation to Gray's campaign.

"(That's the same David Julyan, incidentally, who received emails in 2010 that appeared to suggest coordination between Gray's campaign and another PAC)."

And the same David Julyan who was treasurer for JackPAC back in the day; as well as the "lawyer" presiding over the announcement of the recent demise of the Corcoran. washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/artsdesk/visual-arts/2014/02/20/corcoran-staff-and-faculty-stunned-by-plan-for-institution-to-be-absorbed

David Julyan = Jack Evans = Vince Gray = GW

The corrupt Mayor gathers corrupt organizations to his side. Is that a surprise?

@JOHN SON GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT MAYOR GRAY IS NOT CORRUPT NOR WAS HIS CAMPAIGN.

    TYPICAL WHITEY!!!

Uhm ALL CAPS, I can understand your comment re: Vince (presumption of innocence and all that), but the (4, or is it 5 now) convictions don't lie - Vince Gray's 2010 mayoral campaign was one of the most corrupt campaigns in recent history.

Impossible to separate a shadow campaign that spent as much money as the "official" campaign, but hey I get it, that's the onecitidiot mantra.

    TYPICAL ONECITIDIOT!

They know a winner when they see it . Go Vincent Gray :)

BAMMAS LIKE YOU KEEP TRYING TO ASSOCIATE THE SHADOW THANG WITH THE REAL REAL THING. LOOK 2 OR 3 DUMB ASSES DOES NOT DICTATE THE ACTIONS OF THE MASSES.

    ONE CITY 2014!

The Chamber of Commerce obviously appreciates the trajectory that the city is on. As well do I. Not interested in changing tires in the middle of the race.

Interesting analogy, since changing tires and the timing of it is central to winning any race (Indy, Rally, Nascar, heck even the Tour de France). Change in the middle of a race or risk a blowout (or an indictment, it seems in this case).

    Guess you're no Richard Petty.

    DUDE YOU LOST ME!

THE ONLY REASON I WOULD WATCH NASCAR IS TO SEE DANICA'S TIDDY POP OUT HER RACE SUIT.

  10. #10

You've been lost for years and I'm no NASCAR fan.

. . . SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW???

Hmmmmmm, Guess Roscoe needs a Wetsuit because he is always getting wet. Well, I guess that's why he needs one. There are several other dirty things that come to a sometimes dirty ole man's mind. One of which would explain his wetsuit bloggish personality. But let's not go there. He can have his little fantasies and/or fetishes. Both literally and figuratively speaking if it makes his second skin happy.

PS: Now noodlez gon have me watchin' NASCAR to check out this Danica Chick.

If it was only a few low level anonymous volunteers that would be one thing.
But the 4 Gray aids who are now convicted felons are old friends of his and served in top level positions. There's no way in hell any competent manager (and Gray surely is that) did not plan, implement, and cover up that illegality.

@HUAlum, instead of wasting your time writing nonsense in the comment section, perhaps a better use of your time would be volunteering at your alma mater. You know, to help make sure it exists three years from now.

Not that you'd be of much help.
