How can you choose just one scandal? Fortunately, there's time—voting closes Feb. 27.

Best Community Blog - Formerly Loose Lips until it allowed ejcoleman to bloviate and fritter away it's dubious lead.

Best Politician - VINCENT CARLOS GRAY for too many quantitative and qualitative examples to name in the space allowed.

Best Local Scandal - The fraud perpetrated by the media after the candidate endorsed by WaPo was kicked to the curb; tied by the obvious attempt by the US Attorney's office to dictate who will be the next Mayor of the Nation's Capital for whatever reason.

Best Columnist - Call him what you want, but please call him the Best Media Personality in Washington, DC today:
    MR.BRUCE JOHNSON.

  • drez

    Grays a crook.
Colby King is the best dc columnist by far.
The only reason team gray likes Bruce Johnson is that he doesn't ask any hard questions or follow up on any of Gray's non-answer responses.
Seriously, grays entire media strategy appears to consist of playing the victim to the mean old media.

  • neo/dino

drez, you're a one trick pony.
    Enuff already.
Please put two or four or six of those sock puppets on your hands and stop typing.
You are really and truly more annoying than clever and EVERYBODY IS SICK AND TIRED OF YOU AND EJCOLEMAN.

  • Deon

Drez civilian name is Martin Moulton and yes we are sick of him.

  • drez

Bruce Johnson reports new charges in the Gray corruption case will be filed this week or by latest the next.

Deon: What drez seems to miss is the fact that it is not only Gray supporters who are tired of his tunnel vision.
People want insightful and relevant comments, not tired obsessive blathering tantamount to beating a dead horse.

Who cares about Jeffrey Thompson and what he has done in the campaigns of so many candidates even the media can't keep count.

Honestly speaking, I am looking forward to a trial if he is charged. It will answer some of the questions drez and other fools expected the mayor to answer in spite of the fact the US Attorney's office and his erstwhile attorney told him not to discuss.

Bring it on Mr. Machen. And you'd better come correct because people are also tired of you and your pitiful attempt to demean the duly elected Mayor of this city as you try to justify the time and millions of dollars spent in an effort to do WHAT???? Show that politicians have been receiving money from people/entities in hopes of getting something in return?

Is the US Attorney's office going to expose all of the politicians and their connections to Jeffrey Thompson. If not, then Machen is the one who should resign and hang his head in shame for trying to hold the voting citizens of Washington DC hostage to their (not so long ago given) right to choose whom it is they want to govern this city.

MR. MACHEN, YOU'D BETTER HAVE A DARN GOOD CASE AGAINST THIS MAN AND WE DON'T MEAN PUTTING THE WRONG INFORMATION ON A CREDIT APPLICATION FOR WHICH THE ITEM WAS PAID IN FULL. OR THE SMALL POTATOES $$$ OF A NON-THINKING POL WHO THOUGHT HE COULD SHOOT AT THE 'KING' AND MISS. OR SOME LOYAL WORKER WHO THOUGHT HE WAS HELPING HIS BOSS BY TEARING UP A NOTE BOOK WITH INFORMATION ABOUT A PETTY THUG WHO IS THE MOST POMPOUS ASS IN RECENT MEMORY. OR EVEN THAT STRUTTING PEACOCK WHO GOT THE WHOLE THING STARTED WITH AN ENVEDLOPE WITH LESS THAN $2500 IN MONEY ORDERS, FOR GOD'S SAKE, IN POMPOUS' POCKE TO PAY HIS AUTO INSURANCE VILL.

Heck, People, you can't make this stuff up. That poor man Frank(?)Wills who was only doing his job removing the tape from a door at the Watergate never recovered from that good deed. But he did bring down a crooked President and all of his crooked men who would have made things much worse for everybody in this country if it had not been for the innocent act of one Black man doing what some would call his menial job.

Watch your step, Mr. Machen, because the world certainly is.
