Hearings for Jeff Thompson Associates Pushed Into 2014

Four figures in the investigation into alleged Vince Gray shadow campaign financier Jeff Thompson were set to return to court next week, but no more. Thanks to another delay requested by prosecutors, the defendants won't be in front of a judge again until next spring at the earliest.

Thompson associate Jeanne Clarke Harris, whose guilty plea in July 2012 made the Gray shadow campaign public, has had her next hearing moved to March 19. Ditto Thompson-affiliated straw donors Lee Calhoun and Stanley Straughter.

Troy White, the New York promoter who was allegedly paid by a businessman resembling Thompson to run a shadow campaign-style operation on behalf of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, will return to court on April 22—as long as there isn't another delay. All four are still cooperating with investigators, according to court documents.

Harris, at least, will be taking advantage of the delay. On Monday, a judge ruled she could travel Georgia later this month to visit her sister.
