Yikes. Former nuisance mayoral candidate and short-timer city auditor Sulaimon Brown emerged from hiding today to appear on Ron Moten‘s A.M. radio show and compare Mayor Vince Gray to the nutjob that shot up the movie theatre in Aurora, Colo. Brown wasn’t comparing the nature of the crimes, but stressing the fact that—in Brown’s mind—both men are clearly guilty.

James Holmes has been charged with 142 criminal counts; Gray has not been charged with any wrongdoing, though several of his campaign aides and associates have pleaded guilty to making illegal payments to Brown, lying to the FBI, and managing a vast off-the-books shadow campaign.

“I compared Vincent Gray to the shooter of the Batman movie,” Brown said, managing to surprise even LL. “I’m an eyewitness. Vincent Gray is a criminal.”

Remember, Brown did not come forward with information about the Gray campaign’s alleged illegal behavior until after he was fired from a $110,000-a-year city job.

A spokesman for the mayor did not immediately return a request for comment.
