There is a racial divide in politics, economomics and housing in this Southern city. Blacks are cut out of large contracting jobs, live in the worst neighborhoods with liquour stores and carryouts on every corner. The Black neighborhoods are giving way to condo development via gentrification while whites control the economic, political and housing variables via financing Blacks plitical camapaigns and getting them to pass legislation that favor whites over Blacks. The backlash via White control of economics, housing and politics translates into the remaining Black voters casting their vote for a candidate they bekieve that have not left them out.

Biddle can't connnect to struggling Black people and Orange got in on a humble because he like many Black politicians is selling out to money and forgetting to serve all people in DC and to make sure Blacks get a slice of the pie.
