Gray Administration Eyeing New Deputy Chief of Staff

Mayor Vince Gray is considering veteran national political consultant Andrea Pringle as a new deputy chief of staff, according to multiple Wilson Building sources. Pringle confirms she's been in talks with the Gray team.

Rumor is part of Pringle's potential new gig would be overseeing the mayor's communications shop, which would make sense given that Pringle owns her own political communications firm. During the last mayoral race, she helped design this award-winning anti-Adrian Fenty mailer paid for by developer Don Peebles to help the Gray campaign in Ward 8.

Pringle, a Howard grad, served as Gov. Howard Dean's deputy campaign manager during the screamin' doctor's 2004 presidential bid. She's also worked for former presidential hopefuls Gov. Bill Richardson, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Sen. Carol Moseley Braun.

Pringle's résumé also includes several local campaigns, including at-large Councilmember Vincent Orange's last two races. Pringle's done consulting or direct mailing work for Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr. and attorney-to-the-stars A. Scott Bolden (who unsuccessfully challenged Councilmember Phil Mendelson in 2006).

The Gray Administration lacks both imagination and intellectual curiousity to do anything different or better for this city. So they are going to recycle yet another insider, hopefully more skilled than rest, to attempt to spin this mess into gold? I truly question why anyone with professional integrity and would join this team of crooks or keep the company of thugs. I guess we just need to brace ourselves for whatever comes next. Wishing for January....

Worked for Harry Thomas, Vincent Orange and A. Scott Bolden?

    Enough said.

    One City. Zero Standards.

Whoever is thinking of running against Barry should take a look at her flyer. The facts there haven't changed (much) in his 30 years in office.
Likewise, whoever runs to replace Gray. Those same facts won't change much in his 4 years.

LOL'z at: served as Gov. Howard Dean's deputy campaign manager during the screamin' doctor's 2004 presidential bid. She's also worked for former presidential hopefuls Gov. Bill Richardson, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Sen. Carol Moseley Braun.

Wow, what a gang of heavyweights. Since all those campaigns were successful, she totes can help out Vince, right? Nah.

Another One City Production - high salary, no potential, no progress.

Does she have an adult aged kid? If so I am sure he/she will show up on the city payroll henceforth.

very smart and committed to the District. Choses to work for issues more so than the person.as an African American woman to get work in major campaigns it took candidates that thought outside the box to give you an opportunity, in those days you fought by outworking all of your peers and of course the oposition to get to a place of confidence with national office seekers ..if you have never been there you cant understand this woman accomplishments.

The sad truth is that the Wilson Bldg. won't give two shits and a fuck about her "commitment" to the District. If she values the career that she's forged for herself on the national stage, she will pass on this career suicide "opportunity". Take it from someone who knows. One City will toss you away like a used condom. Keep stepping, girl!

I have worked with her before and she is just a leech looking to make money. This city os in big trouble if she is out best hope. Wait and see! She is as unethical as they come and will no doubt create more scandal for the city. gray I voted for you but I seen now that was a huge mistake.
