Read D.C.’s Lawsuit Against Harry Thomas Jr.
The District government sued D.C. Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr. today over allegations his non-profit organization, Team Thomas, committed fraud.
The organization has both a for-profit and a not-for-profit arm, as LL reported last year. D.C. Attorney General Irv Nathan referred the case to the U.S. Attorney's Office for a criminal investigation, as well.

I think this shows that we FINALLY have an attorney general who is NOT politically motivated and who will make decisions in the best interest of the District of Columbia. I am a Gray supporter and I like Harry Thomas but all I can say is way to go Mr. Attorney General!

@ comment #2: I agree Nathan deserves credit for continuing the investigation started by Nickles. Don't forget, though, Nathan wouldn't have had any records to follow up on had not Nickles twice taken Thomas to court and obtained orders from two judges enforcing his Thomas subpoenas.

You know people can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. I have no doubt that Mayor Gray is happy to have someone else competing for the headlines this morning. However, Harry Thomas is no different than Vince Gray. They were cohorts on the council. They were cohorts during the election. And as far as I am conserned, they are cohorts now.
Throwing Thomas under the bus isn't going to get people's mind of of your boy Gray.

I'm a DC resident, cab owner/driver. as we all know most of them are corrupt crooks and
aren't in office to serve the people who elected them but thair pocket. BARRY, THOMAS, GRHAM etc should be investigated about the so called taxi medallion proposal too.
