Where’s Fenty? Chile, Duh.
Taking a break from keeping mum about the Gray administration's early follies and making moula as a consultant, former Mayor Adrian Fenty recently (as in a month ago) traveled to Chile to talk up his time reforming the District's schools.
Which, according to a translation website, means "End bureaucracies that prevent us from doing the right thing by the students should be the goal of managers and people in power, because education is the passport to poverty eradication." (LL's editor's translation, for what it's worth: "Ending bureaucracies that keep us from doing the right thing for students should be the goal of administrators and people in power, because education is the passport to eradication of poverty.")
Wait, what? Fenty's giving his old stump speech in South America?
