Amber Alert: Sulaimon Brown is Missing

The Council Committee on Government Operations and the Environment can't find Sulaimon Brown.

Chairwoman Mary Cheh sends word to her colleagues that Brown won't be at Friday's hearing on the hiring practices of the Gray administration because the company hired to serve him a subpoena can't find him. Also missing in action: former Gray political hire Cherita Whiting who recently resigned after questions surfaced about her past criminal record.

The process server says Brown and Whiting "appear to be intentionally avoiding service" of their subpoenas.

Cheh's scheduled another hearing for May 13 (also on a Friday, where news goes to die) and has instructed the process server to keep trying.

Meanwhile, mystery man Howard Brooks, who Brown said was gave him cash money in exchange for saying nasty things about former Mayor Adrian Fenty on the campaign trail, has told Cheh that he'll be exercising his fifth amendment rights to keep his mouth shut at any hearings. His son Peyton Brooks, who landed a city job with the Gray administration, plans to exercise that same right.

Cheh says the committee ought to consider whether to challenge the Brooks' "privilege claims" in Superior Court, but in the meantime it would be "unethical" to have them go through the charade of sitting before the committee not saying anything while the TV cameras are rolling.

I just saw him cruising the CVS parking lot in northeast DC in a silver mercedes. I winked and he winked back. I said, ahhhriiight giiirl!! We both laughed and off I went with my assumption about him confirmed.

    Wannabe big ballers running scared.

  3. #3

    wow

  4. #4

Is Cherita Whiting back in prison?

  5. #5

Well, well, it appears that Sillymon is running true-to-form. (The operative word is running.) He is following a well-established pattern. He seems to be running his mouth to the press or running away. Here is the pattern:

    1) Stalk a 13-year-old girl. Girl's mother gets restraining order against Sillymon.

    2) Poof! Sillymon disappears faster than you can say Harry Houdini.

    3) Sillymon gets into trouble in NY/NJ. Poof! He returns to DC.

    4) Sillymon gets a job in DC government. Less than six weeks into the job, he harasses an intern. (See, he still likes the young ones!)

5)Sillymon swears revenge against for being fired. Never mind that he didn't do the damn work. He is hellbent on revenge.

    6) Time for Sillymon to take the oath and tell the story and Poof!!! it's Disappearing Acts all over again. Terry McMillan won't need him for Disappearing Acts Redux, but if she did, he would be nowhere to be found. Except, our esteemed members of the Fourth Estate always seem to be able to raise him up via cell phone. Sillymon, Sillymon, come out wherever you are!

  6. #6

Cheh is out of her tick-infested, flea-bitten, mind! I've been predicting this inept committee would not be able to effect service on those scheduled to testify. They aren't trying to serve them. Cheh is taking us for fools. Darn it, give me the subpoenas...Withhold Cherita's unemployment check until she collects her subpoena or stake out the back of every police squad car...you'll find her real quick. Have Gray hold a press conference about Sulaimon Brown and serve him there...you know he's going to show up...Let Howard Brooks and his son plead the fifth, heck let them plead guilty if they like, but make them do it in person. Stop playing with me Smokey!!!!

  7. #7

The Washington Post is reporting, Vincent Gray won the DC At-Large Council seat.

  8. #8

If only someone had told the process server where the VO victory party was going to be held....time to Fully Vet that process server, and the committee chair who hired him.

  9. #9

Because Sulaimon "Fully Vetted" Brown was at the VO victory party. Hey, Sulaimon, how are we gonna miss you if you just won't go away?

  11. #11

absolutely Trulee. The server should be fired and replaced by a rather young looking girl. He'd find her I bet.

  12. #12

He was at Vincent Orange's celebration last night at San Antonio Grill on 12th Street, NE, along with Ron Moten.

  13. #13

well Mary is full of it. She needed to be at Vo's party last night where the sumb bucket showed up for some reason! Mary get your shit together before you are the next one voted out!

  14. #14

Cheh should stick to being a Professor because she really is an idiot.

  15. #15

How much are these process servers costing the District? Gray should cover it out of his personal salary since he brought this hot mess upon all of us. Why should tax payer's finance any of this Ward 7 N.S.?

  16. #16

Kind of amazing how Cheh just happens to keep scheduling these hearings on Fridays...

At some point, Cheh will have to stop carrying the water for Gray.

  17. #17

@Skipper, you're absolutely right. Eventually, these fools will have to testify. Howard Brooks taking the fifth is comical - they should absolutely require him to sit there and do so in front of TV cameras.

ONE CITY, Baby. Unravelling, One fifth amendment comment at a time....

    FACTUAL INACCURACIES Ms. Washington:

    1) Stalk a 13-year-old girl. Girl's mother gets restraining order against Sillymon.
FACT: Mr. Brown has ALWAYS been easy to find, hell, he ran for Mayor in the MOST PUBLICIZED race ever; why did the mother not have him served right there on the dias, or call him out while he was a candidate; maybe if she had he would not be the thorn in Mayor Gray's side today.

    2) Poof! Sillymon disappears faster than you can say Harry Houdini.
FACT: Running for the most PUBLIC OFFICE IN DC is not what I would consider "disappearing."

    3) Sillymon gets into trouble in NY/NJ. Poof! He returns to DC.
FACT: Mr. Brown stood trial in both of these incidences and was found NOT GUILTY and then he left the state.

    4) Sillymon gets a job in DC government. Less than six weeks into the job, he harasses an intern. (See, he still likes the young ones!)
FACT: These allegations were made by someone who had much to gain to smear his name; remember, the intern has never made these statement either at a hearing nor in a personnel record. Further, those trying to smear Mr. Brown have dirtier hands than he at this point, so what they are saying is very, very, very, suspect...this Karim guy is an abuser or don't you believe the criminal report filed by his ex-wife because he was hired by the Gray Administration also.

5)Sillymon swears revenge against for being fired. Never mind that he didn't do the damn work. He is hellbent on revenge.
FACT: Revenge is a dish best served COLD and he is doing his level best to deliver on his promise. But, also remember, THEY PLACED HIM in that job, he never specifically asked for that particular job or any particualr job, he merely asked for a job. Who is to say he didn't do the work, what work. Exactly, what work has this Gray Administration done since Mayor Gray was sworn in. It is up to management to give an assignment and I have not seen any tangible work come out of this Administration in 100+ days, so why should Mr. Brown be any different from the Cabinet member and Agency Director's. Why should he be held to a standard that these people are not made to deliver on?

    6) Time for Sillymon to take the oath and tell the story and Poof!!! it's Disappearing Acts all over again. Terry McMillan won't need him for Disappearing Acts Redux, but if she did, he would be nowhere to be found. Except, our esteemed members of the Fourth Estate always seem to be able to raise him up via cell phone. Sillymon, Sillymon, come out wherever you are!
    FACT: Howard Brooks, the campaign consultant to Mayor Vincent C. Gray accused of giving payments to former mayoral candidate Sulaimon Brown, has told a D.C. Council committee through his attorney that he will not answer questions during a hearing scheduled for Friday, according to a council memo released Tuesday night;
Brooks and his son, Peyton Brooks, who also has informed the committee they both plan to assert their Fifth Amendment privilege; both would not be called to testify on Friday because it would lead to them embarrassing themselves before the media, the memo read.

So, Ms. Washington, lets not just point out the splinter in Mr. Brown's eye while IGNORING the BEAM in the Gray Administration's. They created this story and Sulaimon Brown and now that the wild stallion has left the barn to try and rangle him back into the stable is pointless. "They should have put him down, when they had the chance."

  19. #19

Hypocrite -- or is that you Sillymon? Your arguments sound very much like his. I do agree with your closing statement, he should have been put down long ago.

When he was confronted by a reporter earlier this year, regarding the restraining order, he was quick to point out that it had never been served. That is typical behavior of a criminal who has managed to game the system. He has managed to do what O.J. did without the expense of the dream team. As for his other skirmishes with the law, just because he was acquitted does not mean he was innocent.

Frankly, I do not care whether the Brookses take the Fifth or do not show up at all. Sillymon was the one who lobbed the grenades. He should come forward and make these allegations under oath. Then, he can do one of two things: PROVE THE ALLEGATIONS -- or face perjury charges. If he won't show up then he should STFU! Better still, pull another disappearing act forever. He will probably need to enter witness protection in order to find employment.

As for calling him out but not the others--Sillymon put himself out in front--from the moment he crashed that press conference that had nothing to do with him.

It is amazing that he has managed to hoodwink the media and continues to do so. If there were any proof to his allegations he would have already come forward.

Sulaimon Brown can go to hell as far as I am concern. He is the worst type of black person. Here is a man who readily admits to having unclean hands and then turn on his own, because he is not strong or smart enough to get his fair share of the pie. Thats a punk! Sometimes a man got to stand up and be a man, period.

  21. #21

How much is Vince Gray or should I say Lorraine Green and company paying you to be his online (blogger)PR firm.

Do you have "first hand" knowledge of how to avoid the long arm of the law. Maybe you should enlighten us on how Lorraine Green and Howard Brooks have avoided utilized this same practice during their Lottery scheme's. Don't throw rocks when you and yours live in glass houses.

Who exactly are "the Brookses?" I know of the Brooks'.

Mr. Brown does not work for the DC government in any form and he is not being charged with any criminal act, therefore he does not, under any legal obligation/condition have to honor a subpoena by the Council. Mr. Brown will show up when the FBI and US Attorney's office calls him to testify and not a moment before. Why should he do anything less than what Mr. Brooks and Company, i.e., Cherita Whiting is doing?

Mr. Brown placed a spotlight on the Gray Administration and their underhanded, dirty dealings that the entire city is now benefiting from and for that we should all be grateful.

Had he not made his allegations public we would all be saddled with Lorraine Green and the Sharon Pratt Shoulder Pad Brigade and her boy-toy Howard Brooks and his home-boys LeRoy Ellis and Reuben Charles; they would be MILKING our DC tax dollars through steered contracts for years to come. I saw their hands in my pockets before Mayor Gray took his oath of office.

So, it is more amazing to me that anyone can defend the actions of this Gray Administration, Vince Gray and those that surround him. He has no heart for the very people that made it possible for him to be sitting where he is now.

He, Mayor Gray, and Lorraine Green, are solely responsible for the plight of many DC residents who are homeless and jobless because they thought more of enriching their own family and friends pockets than doing the job that we, the residents, elected him to do; as our Mayor he was elected to put DC residents back to work, not to provide employment for resident of Rockville MD, PG County MD, Arizona, and Texas. And now,we have UDC Board Members from Delaplane, Va, Richmond, Va, Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Glen Valley, Va, and others from Wards 2 and 3.

Is Mayor Gray saying that he could not have found qualified candidates to represent every Ward. He should have gone to every Ward member of the Council and had them appoint a member from their community to represent their Wards interests on the Board, i.e., eight positions---eight Wards, this would have been a very easy way to show those that he represents that he truly does represents the entire Districts interests and not just those in the affluent Wards. Mayor Gray chose not to have us, his residents represented on this board.

  22. #22

Hypocrite/Sillymon, you should just go on down to the FBI/U.S. Attorney, and get them to put you in witness protection. All the dumbass questions you have asked me, answer them yourself. I am merely expressing my opinion, just like everyone else on this board. I am not being paid by anyone -- are you?

Again, I ask are you really Sillymon? Your ridiculous assertion that the current mayor is responsible for the homeless and jobless demonstrates that you are delusional.

Yes, you have mastered the computer and can use spellcheck, but you need to go back on your medication. Your hate for Mayor Gray is misplaced and ranting and raving on this board will not net you any results. If you are not Sillymon, then you have just proved that they must be allowing the asylum's patients access to computers.

I love it, when Wendy answers.

  24. #24

    I support Sulaimon Brown 100%

  25. #25

Wendy is a cheese burger bitch...not a name

  26. #26

Mr. Brown should talk to respectable authorities (FBI, AG, US Congress), not ass clowns like the dc councel

  27. #27

Terry Snider, if you disagree with an opinion, state your own instead of name-calling. You, at the very least are a child. You should not be allowed access to the computer without adult supervision. You can support Sillymon all you want, that's your prerogative. You talk smack via the Internet, when it comes time to speak up and be forthright in who you are, you will be the cheeseburger bitch.

  28. #28

Yes, Terry Snider, you should join up with Sillymon, so all the GED-holding, minimally educated, unemployed, about-to-be-convicted, certifiably mentally deficient con men can hold a convention.

  29. #29

Wendy, you seem so jaded, like an ex-girlfriend or something. Admit it!! You used to be Mr. Browns girl and now your angry he married someone else.

  30. #30

Yea she used to date slim back in the day over in SE..I dont know what happended though, that got her coming at him like this now

  31. #31

VG, I am not jaded. SB has already shown us, he likes them young, so if I were the same age as SB, I would still be too old. At last report, he was stalking 13-year-old girls and interns. I am too married, too old and too damn smart to ever mess with a troll like SB. My husband is a beautiful, intelligent, hard-working Black man.

  32. #32

@Wendy... YOU are a RACIST...who cares if your husband is black... a non racist person would have just stated that they were happlily married and the color of their husband would have been unimportant

  33. #33

Mike, for the sake of clarification, what in my posts leads you to believe I am anything other than a proud Black woman? I always have been and I always will be. It is amazing, how folks misconstrue what is written in these posts. I am a native Washingtonian, too. Now runteldat!

  34. #34

Southeast Ken why as a man are you speaking that way about a woman....that was her past and I am sure if you had one you would want to move past it as well. As a man think before trying to take down a woman moreover think before trying to take down anyone.
    peace.

  35. #35

Suliamon has talked to the FBI and USOAG. As have Brooks and other "persons of interest".
That's why they will NOT go on the record in the charade that Mary "CYA Gray" Cheh is wasting our time and dollars with.

  36. #36

@WendyWash...I see that disagreeing with you on a message board really levels out your prozac and valium.

In case you forgot, this is a "comment" section, i.e., that means that people will post a comment to whatever they want or whatever argument they feel like taking up at the time.

The difference between you and I is that I like to speak in FACTS and you deal is accusations and assumptions. What I have stated are FACTS that can be backed up. Because of these facts I must be Mr. Brown, how sad for you that he has gotten in your head this much.

I find it very amusing that you hold Mr. Brown to a standard that you do not hold Mayor Gray nor any of his associates who will not take the stand and speak either. Lorraine Green and Cherita Whiting and Harold Brooks keep changing up their appearance dates, times, and conditions. These scheduled hearings have now become rediculous. Mr. Brown has simply stated that they had not served him with anything and should they he will not appear, this is his right, since he is still a free man of color and living in the seat of democracy in this free country.

I hold my elected officials and leaders to a much higher standard than a hold an average citizen who many have some challenges themselves. After all, Mayor Gray ran a campaign on Character, Integrity and Leadership. I have yet to see him live up to any of these monikers.

Surrounding yourself with those whose characters are so flawed that their integrity is constantly called into question makes me question Mayor Gray's leadership ability.

  37. #37

    @please help us; Fuck you!

  38. #38

As I stated, where is Cherita Whiting? Is she back in prison for stealing money?

  39. #39

Wendy Washington, are you on Gray's payroll?

  40. #40

Wendy Washington, what did O.J's dream team do wrong? Are you trying to win points from those people that chosed to ignore the facts. I have begun to think that you are related to that Grace Jones.

  41. #41

@Hypocrite, just like Donald Trump, you do not understand the meaning of the word--fact. Thus far, you have only expressed your opinion. Here is a fact: Sillymon, with his six skirmishes with the law, GED, flimsy resume, no job for over two years, thought he could become mayor. Here are a couple more facts for you:

    1) Sillymon was a disillusioned ex-Fenty campaign worker, upset that Fenty did not give him a city job or pay him for his campaign work. So his entire campaign was to seek revenge on Fenty.

    2) He never had a snowball's chance of winning. (Frankly,
DC has never had a mayor who received a GED.
3)Brown told the Washington Post the Gray campaign paid him cash, and that he funneled some of the money into his campaign coffers using fake names.

So you argue on behalf of an admitted liar and fraud? You do not care about facts. You just want to argue.

@Tony, I am not on Gray's payroll. In case you missed it, the O.J. dream team managed to get an acquittal for his guilty ass. No relation to Grace Jones and every time I post it is under the same handle.

  42. #42

The trouble with your theory, Wendy, is that Brown has phone and text records and, of course, he did get high level meetings and a $110K job. And the various players he's fingered have made themselves scarce and are now pleading the 5th...
