DCmud is reporting that the Board of Zoning Adjustment has approved David von Storch's plan to expand his U Street building, making room for a new restaurant, salon, and a humungous VIDA Fitness, in the space that currently houses gym competitor Results.
In with the new, out with the old by March 2011!

A few weeks back, I wrote about the ongoing drama between gym chain competitors Results Gym and Vida Fitness. Here are some pictures of the proposed plans for the U Street building that now houses Results Gym...but soon will become Vida Fitness. (Not that soon though. Resulters: Your gym's lease is up in 2011.)
The plans were distributed at last week's Dupont Circle ANC meting.

So, let's get one thing clear first: Vida Fitness does plan to move into the U Street building currently housing Results Gym.
Vida's owner David von Storch owns Results' U Street building. He's renovating it, not renewing Results' lease, and taking over the current occupants' space asap.
