For years, it seems, I've passed by the Maxim in Tenleytown. The building was supposed to be turned into a 42-unit residential project at 4600 Wisconsin Avenue and Brandywine Street NW. There's good news and bad news: "Washington-area foreclosures more than doubled in 2008, but they rose from historically low levels and involved less than 3 percent of all local homes," according to the Washington Business Journal.
