New Looks For H Street NE Projects

There seem to be big property moves on H Street NE every week, but one that was supposed to have been squared away years ago—a piece of formerly city-owned land at 1113-1117 H Street—still has yet to move. Developer Stan Wall (yes, the one former mayor Adrian Fenty tried to put on the Zoning Commission) says he's on track to begin the 16,000 square foot building with ground-floor retail this fall, with a new set of designs from Square 134 Architects. Four of the 16 condo units will be affordable, and they're shooting for a LEED Platinum rating.

Then there's Valor's Maia project, which got started last summer, and recently doubled in size from 49 to 84 units after adding three lots north of the old Faith Bible Church. Architect PGN has also tweaked its design quite a bit; the one below is close to final.
