District Scores All of Georgia Avenue Frontage at Walter Reed

I'm a a press conference where this is being announced, but for now, here's who will own what on the 113-acre former Walter Reed Army Medical Center complex:

Last year, the Local Redevelopment Authority allocated buildings to several different organizations using a different footprint. Since then, the General Services Administration decided it no longer needs any of the campus, the State Department and the District have carved it up differently. Now, D.C. will get all the land front on Georgia Avenue as well as the mammoth Building 2. More updates on what's going to happen with all this when I return.

Will this require redoing the plans DC put together for how to use the land? Can the WMATA bus garage get back into the mix now?

This is going to be a GIANT cluster f=*#k because the city wants to get everyone on Gods green earths opinion and input! This is what happens when you don't have decisiveness and leadership!
