So, if you happen to communicate with many government agencies, you may have noticed that there's been a lot of moving around lately. In large part, that's because of the big new spaces the District has secured, taking advantage of a down real estate market to get some very decent rents. Little offices have been converging and big offices have been consolidating in places like 1100 4th Street SW, the Reeves Center at 14th and U, and 1200 First Street NE. Meanwhile, the District bought and is renovating 225 Virginia Avenue, to be occupied by the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. I put them all on a Google map–the lines might not be perfectly placed, and it doesn't include the locations of agencies that aren't moving, but you get the picture.
