Housing Complex

View 14 Update

Early last month, Housing Complex reported on some emergency legislation for a 14th Street apartment building project called View 14. A resolution came before the D.C. Council allowing the building to be exempt from up to $5.7 million in city taxes to “avoid jeopardizing the success of View 14 given the current unfavorable economic climate and need to efficiently continue construction, and to avoid the imposition of certain real estate and gross sales taxes related to financing, refinancing, construction, equipping, furnishing, and operation of the View 14 Project.”

Well, here's the latest on the project, which seems to be making progress every day (see a February shot here). There's another photo after the jump.
