McMansion Builder MIGHTY Confident, Delusional

K. Hovnanian Homes is one of the leading producers of suburban monstrosities. These are the kind of homes we’re now being told to loathe and reject, that are literally being bulldozed before they’re purchased.

But Hovnanian—which has products ranging from McMansions to townhouse communities to “active adult lifestyle” properties (don’t ask me exactly what they are)—is feeling good. They recently gave away a car with a one year lease and launched a new real estate agent rewards program. Apparently, we’re all going to be buying lots and lots of their homes soon.
