HGTV Featuring Local House

Okay, I must admit I’m not up on my HGTV shows. But for those obsessives out there, who religiously take in “House Hunters,” “Design on a Dime,” and other programs, you might be happy to know that a Washington D.C. property will be featured on “Designed to Sell” this weekend. The home is 7,000 square feet, and “rich with history,” according to promotional material, which also adds: “It used to be a bed-and-breakfast for the historic Howard Theater. Great performers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington actually slept here.” I didn’t see an address listed, but the episode summary says the owner lives in Northeastern D.C., and his name is Arik Foster. The property doesn’t look familiar to me. (Anyone else know where it is?) But, apparently, it will be on the market quite soon. The show first airs tomorrow at 8 p.m.
