A Brief Cop-Out — Er, Note — About ‘The Nina Variations’

The day, she has gotten away from me, and it's too hot to try to catch up. And so, as it appears that I may not be able to produce an actual Hip Shot on The Nina Variations before its final performance looms — and seeing as how one of the two performers in it is the colleague I complain to when the NPR air-conditioning gets wonky, which in this climate is a definite conflict of interest — let's do this informally, shall we?

    This was one of the better offerings we have seen. Thoughtful, carefully conceived and written. Good acting. Serious theatre. However, the variation which includes comments about critics is overtly pandering and extremely amusing.
