I had to watch this show standing in the back and all alone since my gf didn't buy a ticket before it sold out... and I loved every minute. The music was phenomenal--these peeps have some pipes! You can tell how much effort from lost of folks went into details from casting to costumes. The actors and actresses were all good looking (uh, not that that matters, of course). The story was beyond silly (but I knew that going into the show) and what musical doesn't have a silly story, except maybe West Side Story (which the story line loosely resembled). I don't know if there are any tickets left for there final performance, but I hope they take this show beyond Fringe.

Wow, if you want a theme that has never been done before, I guess you might as well shoot yourself. Is there anything that has not been done before: nothing new under the sun. Anyway , I thought this play was fun and entertaining . At the performance I went to, almost every one was laughing a lot, most of the time. I laughed out loud. Go if you want to be amused and entertained. Don't go if you have a problem with laughing.

The people reviewing fringe shows are often too kind, and that is the case here. The guys are funny, the music is cute, but only a little.

I liked this one more than Matt, but I do agree that the show sort of finds its ending -- and then goes on about 15 minutes longer.

But there's a combination of musical chops and clearly defined comic sensibility here that, for me anyway, really buoys the onstage events, gleefully, willfully dumb though they be.

Because here's the thing the show knows about robots: They can't know love. (And those Plan 9 From Outer Space epaulets the robots wear -- because they're robots, duh -- are a fuckin' hoot.)

Yeah, I ate this one up with a big ol' spoon.

So sorry its imperfections eclipsed its cleverness for you, Matt. DESPITE silly premise & situations, and occasional draggy shaggy-dog excess, this is a FRINGE FIND! So bad it's good ~ thanks to the droll delivery and tight ensemble work of a wonderfully talented & charismatic cast of young actor/singers (who do SO much more than "wink & nod"), and creative staging/directing by relative newcomer Cory Frank (whose directorial debut was last yr's powerful "Lebensraum"). These are theatre artists to "watch." Is the show perfect? No. Worth your time? Absolutely YES! [FYI, I have no connection to the show.]
