And Sheffy — if you see a clown act at a circus, do you ask what that act was trying to say? Maybe you do, I don’t know; all I know is that I watch the clown act, laugh, and then go home without relying on analysis to inform my enjoyment of it. Beckett’s the same. More than anything else, he’s a vaudeville act.

While I still hold that Beckett’s work is incapable of actually being enjoyable, I found this production enriching and very well done. I get the broad brush stroke existential metaphors, but can someone explain to me what this play was trying to say!!

Brilliant production! I’d deem it a “must-see” for every theatre artist or afficionado ~ even if you think you dislike Beckett.

Seldom will you see ANY Beckett done better, and especially this one. Jahncke & Henrich really “get” Beckett, and have the theatre chops to transport viewers into their inspired vision. The audience en masse was spell-bound for the entire intense 60-min. (not 75m, as published).

Yes, the space is “close,” but not uncomfortably hot (when I was there) or claustrophobic (to which I’m subject). And its intimacy & 3/4 round staging perfectly suit this production. GO!!!
