Elizabeth Bruce is spectacular in “Bag Lady,” a riveting play that draws you right into her life on the street and haunting inner world. The soundtrack also has perfect pitch. Do see — and hear — for yourself!

I have mad crazy love for the Scarlet Pimpernel. When you’re done with the book, check out the BBC miniseries with Ian McKellan. Great stuff.

Have you seen the musical? I love it so much I have three different recordings of the soundtrack: original, after Rachel York and Rex Smith joined the cast (how I saw it), and the concept album with Linda Eder. All are worth having. Thanks for the tip about the mini-series – Joan
