Advance Sales? Not Too Shabby
Ran into Julianne on the sidewalk late yesterday — hey, I work in the neighborhood, so it happens — and between distracted comments about six other things, she told me that the Fringe box office has moved $60K worth of advance tickets as of COB Wednesday. That’s twice what they’d sold by the same time last year.

Big deal!
A tally of button sales is needed.
I thought it was 65 thousand dollars pre-orders when I did the math, with my computer off, not 60,000 pre-orders but let’s look at some theoretical totals.
1. 1 ticket + 1 pass is $20. Divide that number into $65000 that’s only 3,250* people.
2. Two people. $10 dollars in buttons plus 4 tickets to two shows. Without a fohty pass that’s 70 dollars or 929* people.
Speaking of passes, I think the most popular is the six pack. That’s $75 or 867* people with no sharing. Or even less when more people buy buttons.
*I rounded those people figures up.
So far I’ve bought one button with cash so I am not counted as anything. I’m seeing two shows next week and I don’t know how I’m paying for them yet.
Some how some way a button count has to be maintained or what’s the motivation for a sponsor to participate when only a small group of people buy lots of tickets.
