6:42 p.m. Update: When asked whether the U.S. Attorney's Office is looking into the allegations surrounding Barry's payments to Donna Watts-Brighthaupt, spokesperson Benjamin Friedman issued this statement:
"I cannot confirm or deny the existence of an on-going investigation."

On Barry’s Stalking Case: U.S. Attorney’s Office To Release Statement

The U.S. Attorney's Office plans on releasing a statement concerning Marion Barry's pending stalking case. I have been told that the statement will be released "shortly."

According to LL's perusal of city purchase orders, she got $20,000:

$5,000 on Nov. 20 for "consulting services";
$10,000 on Feb. 19 for "consulting services"; and
$5,000 of May 27 for "computer hardware consulting"
