			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well hell. So much for armchair journalism. I blogged this morning about <a href="http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/citydesk/2009/04/17/the-origins-of-teabagging/"><strong>John Waters</strong> inventing the term <em>teabagging</a></em>. My evidence? A bunch of lazy Googling. Freakin' <a href="http://www.boingboing.net/2009/04/17/bb-exclusive-john-wa.html">Boing Boing e-mailed him</a>. About all I've got going for me is time stamp: I <em>think</em> Boing Boing's on West Coast time, which means that <strong>Xeni Jardin</strong>'s statement that "nobody has acknowledged how the word first entered popular American slang" is technically incorrect&#8211;I acknowledged it at 11:17, a full 12 minutes before she utterly and completely schooled me!</p>
<p>Anyone wanna get some coffee?</p>
