Wonkette Alex Pareene is fleeing for Gawker in New York. We hope the crime didn’t scare him away. We also hope he doesn’t join in Gawker’s irrational hatred of DC based on the lame date-watching scene at Union Station.

The hatred for DC by most outside of DC is rational and for a long list of good reasons. DC has a reverse moral standrad than the rest of the USA.

Well, Enemy of the District, if you’re representative of the people that hate D.C., I’m not too worried about the impact you all might have. After all, isn’t D.C. better off without the sorts of people that come up with a sentence as awful as this?
