Metro Will Take You All Around the World Today

Reston

Imagine if the D.C. Metro system could take you to St. Petersburg, or Rome, or even under the sea.

For now, it can—virtually anyway.

There's something wrong—or blissfully right—with WMATA.com's interactive Metro map today, as local Redditors discovered this morning. When you click on a Metro stop to get a Google Street View image of the area around the station, the map takes you to a faraway, exquisite land.

A spokeswoman for WMATA said she was unaware of the glitch, but was looking into it.

Until then, take a look at these dream Metro stops, and bon voyage.
