The Needle: Snyder Says?
Dan Snyder Cares: The revelation of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's racist antics and his subsequent ban from the NBA have elicited people to draw some loose comparisons of Sterling to Dan Snyder, the owner of Washington's football team who has said he would never change his team's racist name. So what was Snyder's reaction to all this? We can only imagine that it was something along the lines of what his fake Twitter account tweeted today: "I'm so glad that I'm not an NBA owner. Round Robin: Robin Givhan, the Pulitzer Prize–winning fashion critic, is returning to the Post. Happy days! +3
Diminished Returns: It doesn't matter what your stance on meat is, this is too much: On Friday, El Rey will have a $5 taco with five types of pork, including a bacon shell. -3
Phantom Planter: The man who planted flowers at the Dupont Metro station only to have Metro yank them out, played a protest video on an 18-foot-tall projector across from the Metro station that featured Pete Seeger's "Where Have All the Flowers Gone." The lyrics were changed from "Young girls picked them, every one" to "Metro killed them, every one." +2
