Fab Four: Fifty years ago on Feb. 11, the Beatles performed for the first time in the United States at the Washington Coliseum. To celebrate, there will be tribute concerts throughout D.C., including one for 2,000 fans at the very same time and place that the Brits first performed. +4

Not Safe-for-Eating-Way: The Safeway in Brightwood closed due to health code violations, with one woman on the Petworth email list saying she had to return bread to the store two weeks ago because it had already been eaten through. (The woman, however, noted that the customer service at the store was very good.) -4

Say What?: Red Light, a new Logan Circle cocktail and dessert bar, will pay homage to the good ol' 14th Street prostitution days. -5

Falawesome: Amsterdam Falafelshop signed a lease to open its third restaurant next fall at L'Enfant Plaza's La Promenade. Its second shop is expected to open in March on 14th Street. +3
