Adam Kokesh: “Time Served and Probation!”
Adam Kokesh is having a better day than usual today. The libertarian and Second Amendment activist, who was arrested in July and pleaded guilty in November to drug and weapon charges stemming from a video he posted online of himself loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza, could have received more than five years in jail for breaking D.C. gun laws.
But a D.C. Superior Court judge sentenced him today to probation and time served, according to WTOP. He will also have to register as a gun offender.
Kokesh celebrated his sentence on Twitter.
Time served and probation! Just waiting for the paperwork now. Thank you all for your support. I couldn't have done it without you!
