Take an Uber to Tonight’s Game, Sit in Lots of Traffic
The only thing that says America as much as football is a phone app that allows you to hail a fancy black sedan and private driver from your couch. Tonight, you can get both for a flat rate.
Uber is offering trips to and from FedEx field for the Pigskins' season opener for $65 for an UberBLACK sedan and $85 for an UberSUV each way.
But flat rate or not, you're still going to have to wait in traffic—and it's going to be bad tonight. The kick-off time is at 6:55 p.m. and the Maryland State Highway Administration is suggesting that commuters who need to be on the road around the stadium add an additional 30 to 45 minutes to their travel time.
Inner loop congested from to 95/495 split to Rt 50. Back up to speed from Rt 50 to stadium. #GameTime

If you're not going to the game, you can get a variety of free drinks and appetizers if you take an Uber vehicle to The Front Page in Dupont, Velocity Five in Clarendon, or World of Beer in Arlington.
Last week, Uber announced a partnership with the NFL that would provide every active NFL player with free Uber rides around the world.
