Wizards Misery Report: John Wall Dance
Wizards star John Wall has recovered from his injuries, and the Wizards are now tied for the NBA's worst win record ever, which means they're no longer in danger of earning the title solely for themselves. With all this good news, will the Wizard's tears turn to sniffles?
Diminishing Returns: Forbes recently named the Wizards the NBA's 23rd most valuable NBA team, positioning them between the Detroit Pistons and the Indiana Pacers. Among the team's liabilities, according to Forbes: a nearly 25 percent decline in season-to-season ratings, and millions in contract pay-outs to ex-Wizard Andray Blatche.
Tear Down This, Wall: Wall's return and the team's 4-2 record since he came back earlier this month have given the Wizards something they haven't had so far this season: momentum. The Wizards are no longer considered the pushovers they once were, with tonight's opponents, the Utah Jazz, at least slightly spooked.
Sunk It: Also nice for the Wizards: Monday night's game against the Trailblazers, won with a final-seconds three-pointer from Jordan Crawford. Between that shot (watch the video, it's great) and Wall, is this the end of Wizards Misery?
