Fox 5 Anchor Announces The “N*gger Inaugural”
There's a list of words that TV reporters should never say, and it must be racing through their heads whenever the camera's on. Don't say it. Don't say it.
Well, Fox 5's Holly Morris said it. In a morning broadcast yesterday on extravagant inauguration deals, Morris fell over herself and declared the Willard Hotel the spot for the "n*gger inaugural."
Video of Morris's accident has garnered 32,000 Youtube views in just a day. No word from Morris yet this morning on the unlucky tongue-twisting.

For those who don't want to watch the video, she said "i-nig-ural" and then corrected herself to "i-naug-ural." Maybe this is obvious but it wasn't entirely clear to me from just reading the text.

And interestingly, it didn't match a tongue twisting, because what she said afterwards wasn't compatible with those syllables.
Looks like she got caught saying what she normally says OFF camera to me. I don't think you can just pass this off. Not termination worthy though.

I think this is a stretch. So many words that start in-, start ini-, so you're used to that syllable. Her attempt to correct just made everything confusing. It isn't definitive enough for any action to be taken or even addressed.

This is truly making something out of nothing. I don't think for a moment that this is a slip that happened because she uses the word. It was simply a mispronunciation that she immediately corrected. This article is misleading. Yes, there was a slip. Yes, I heard "nigger", but she didn't say "nigger inaugural".
Does she sit at home with the family and friends pissed off that Obama won a second term, using the word in conversation and claiming that she wants to people who look like me to know their place? I don't know, but this is a little misleading and it's stirring up the pot over something that's, at best, minor. It's a slip of the tongue and we don't know if it's a slip of the tongue proving she sits around saying "I-nigger-al".

I listened to it about 10 times. Let's be truthful about this, she said, "its been a key "inigger"...inaugural spot for...150 years." This appears to be a slip of the tougue from someone who works for FOX and might possible be accustomed to using the word in a hateful or racist way. I forgive her and also feel sorry for her. For my other christian brothers and sisters that have not experienced being called the word because of the color of your skin,riding in the back of the bus, having vacancy signs change to no vacancy when they see you coming, recalling your parents frustrated about poll taxes, see your daddy called a boy or nig**r in front of his family, this word is a very big deal, and its a huge deal when associated with the inauguration of the first afro-american president of the United States of America.
